Since we have incorporated spelling bees into our summer classes at St. John's University/The Language Connection, this clip about a National Spelling Bee participant should prove to be very interesting. What do you think?

The Scripps National Spelling Bee is the most prestigious spelling bee competition in the United States and possibly the whole world. Although, it is titled "national" participants come from all parts of the globe including Canada, Europe and New Zealand. I remember Akash Vukoti because he was just six years old when he participated in 2016. He was the second-youngest participant ever after Edith Fuller. Akash may not have been successful in getting the spelling bee crown but his stint on Steve Harvey's "Little Big Shots" will ensure that he will be remembered.

It's really nice to meet this very talented and intelligent young boy. I have actually watched his video and I have to say that he has the potential to become successful in this field. I can even imagine now how better he will become as time goes by. I can't wait to see the achievements that this little kid will be able to have in the future. I hope you will be giving us more updates about him sooner or later. I will also be praying for him always. I wish you the best, kid.
